HyP3D kick-off meeting was held in Barcelona yesterday, January the 17th, 2023.
The project deals with water electrolysis for green hydrogen production based on high pressure Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cells (SOECs).
HyP3D project will demonstrate the viability of a disruptive high-pressure SOEC technology based on unique advantages of sustainable 3D printing manufacturing with low capital investment costs.
IREC will coordinate the project and Prof. ICREA – Institució Catalana de Recerca i Estudis Avançats Albert Tarancón will act as the project coordinator.
The project has a total budget of 2.5M€ and will run for 3 years. The consortium is formed by 8 European partners including IREC – Institut de Recerca en Energia de Catalunya, DTU – Technical University of Denmark, Politecnico di Torino, Barcelona Supercomputing Center, 3DCeram Sinto, VAC-TRON Glass to Metal Seals Tech, H2B2 Electrolysis Technologies, S.L., and Snam S.p.A.
HyP3D was Funded by the European Union (Grant Agreement No. 101101274).
